Gas Well Claim Attracts Police Inquiry
A local man recalls a city gas well where a year ago he pumped gas and, while at the fair grounds, he and another man tried to draw water from the old drive well. He says a strong smell accompanied the pump, and on one stroke air shot from the spout and ignited a match. An investigation could be made, and locking into the matter is suggested.
