Dr Donaway and Eugene Mead of Deshler travel to California for health reasons. Joseph English of Deshler, an old soldier, learns he will receive $1600 back pension and $20 monthly for life. Fred Hard, 18, pleads guilty to horse stealing and receives 18 months in prison. Bob Allen of near Holgate jailed for biting a man’s finger. likely to serve a short term on the road.
