Pasadena Chamber Music Society In Concert Friday

The Pasadena Chamber Music Society presents a Friday concert at 8 15 P M in San Jacinto College Slocomb Auditorium with guest artists Raphael Fliegel violin Shaler Moscovitz viola and Thomas Bey cello plus pianist Toby Bluethenthal. They perform Beethoven Trio Op 1 No 1 Arensky Trio and Jacobi Hagiographa. Admission is by season membership. information lines provided.

Deerettes Reach 19-1 With Two Big Wins

Deerettes beat Conroe High 61-46 last Thursday led by Faith Watson 27 Teena Green 19 and Sherry King 10. They then defeated Cypress Fairbanks 74-42 with King 25 Watson 24 and Green 14. Next games: Night Island Friday and Angleton Monday at 7 30 for district opener. Junior Varsity fell to Conroe 41-35 and Cy Fair 41-35, record 12-1.

Eight year old mauled by four boxer dogs

Eight-year-old Bill Meldrum of 2606 Estate was dragged from his bicycle Monday afternoon by a neighbor's four boxer dogs and savagely attacked. He was rushed to a Pasadena hospital where surgeons repaired 232 wounds across his body, leaving him in critical condition as his mother fought to shield him.

Annual Beta Sigma Phi Charity Ball at Albert Thomas Center

Star Light Star Bright theme marks the ninth Beta Sigma Phi Charity Ball set for February 1 at 8 PM in East Hall of the Albert Thomas Convention Center. Stars include the Heartbeats doctors group directed by Dr Grady L Hallman and the Edger Tach Orchestra. Proceeds support the Beta Sigma Phi Metabolic Research Fund of the Texas Medical Center.
