Deer Park Parks and Recreation announces a six week session from Oct 4 to the week of Nov 8 offering classes from toddlers to adults. Registration is 8 am to 5 pm at the Community Center 610 E. San Augustine and schedules are free.
Gina Clark and Ronnie Liggett of Deer Park High School have been named Junior Rotarians for September. Gina, active in football cheerleading, tennis, volleyball and track, plans SHSU attendance and serves in student government and clubs. Ronnie, a four-year football and baseball participant, sports editor of The Antler, and Who's Who honoree, is son of Mr. and Mrs. Liggett.
Petal Pushers club outlines a Bicentennial Walkway project in Deer Park with a 500 square foot brick path and rose beds in Petal Park. Shell Complex contributes 500 toward the Botanical Garden Fund. bronze plaque honors Shell support. Bricks autographed at the Fall Festival October 21 to 23 cost 1.76 for individuals, 7.76 for businesses, and 17.76 for corporations.
