DPHS Semifinalists Compete For Grant From Deer Park High
Twenty seniors at Deer Park High School have become semifinalists in the Harris County Youth Scholarship Foundation to determine the school’s boy and girl finalists for county competition. The Harris County Optimist Club scholarship drew 45 seniors, awarding $1000 to one boy and one girl from Harris County. Girl semifinalists include Susan Gann Patricia Herndon Debi Milburn Debbi Sanders Denise Sandlin Dianne Skarke Pam Smith Rhonda Toombs Sherry Wilson. Male finalists include Wayne Baggett Jim Ben fer Robert Black David Bourgeois Mike Keppier Henry Krebs Tommy Knox Micky McGhee Rudy Stefancik Rex Teter and Ronny Wray.

Funeral services were held for Edward Joseph Jeambert a 69 year old Deer Park resident died Monday in a Pasadena hospital He was a retired Houston Ship Building boilermaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church Odd Fellows Lodge No 95 and the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Survivors include his wife two daughters a son-in-law and eight grandchildren Burial followed at Grand View Memorial Park under Colonial Funeral Home Pasadena.
