Keith George of Deer Park, a sophomore at Abilene Christian College, performed with the ACC Big Purple marching band at Texas Stadium during the Dallas Cowboys versus Philadelphia Eagles game. Mrs. Jim Mainer installed the 1972 officers of the Women's Society of the Deer Park Methodist Church in a ceremony on December 1. A large church symbol with lights outlined the flame and cross as each officer lit her lamp. The society, a mission group within the church, plans the 20th anniversary celebration of its 1952 founding with Mrs. Bill Antone as incoming president.
