The Greater Town committee held a Cedar Rapids meeting to organize a six day whirlwind tour of Iowa towns with populations over 3 000. Washington April 27 The United States now counts 109,000,000 people per new census bulletin by Director William J. Harris. Prohibitionists in the state complain the law bans their voting for supreme court judges on the nonpartisan ticket at the primary unless party affiliation changes. With under 2 percent of the last general election vote, they lost ballot rights. Secretary of State W S Allen and Assistant Attorney General C A Robinson explored options but found no lawful path to allow prohibitionists to vote for judges at the primary.
