Quota for War Sets Iowa Draft at 12,749 for State

Des Moines reports Iowa must raise 12,749 men for the national army plus 12,672 in the national guard and regular forces. Adjutant General Logan, under Governor Harding, allocates county and city quotas using state census data, adjusting for counties with voluntary excess.
