Former Morgan Resident Carl Sams Dies in Birmingham
Carl Sams, former resident of the Johnson Chapel community, died at his home in Birmingham this morning. The body will be transported to Decatur by rail Thursday morning and then to Drinkard Howell funeral parlors in Hartselle for keeping until relatives arrive. Funeral services are set for 1 PM Thursday at Johnson Chapel with Drinkard Howell in charge of burial.
