Elderly man dies after pedestrian accident in Decatur

Robert Peete, 77, died at Decatur General Hospital after being struck by a car driven by Barbara Gail Thrasher, 22, of Trinity. He was hit as he tried to enter a house at 608 Wilson Ave, striking the porch and causing heavy damage to the block house. Funeral services will be held by Reynolds Funeral Home. Peete resided at 421 W. Vine St.
