Mayor Wilson Morgan takes oath after election as president of the Board of Commissioners. Pro bate Judge T C Almon reviews Hunt's bond and approves it. Hunt thanks supporters and notes decades of civic service and broad友 backing after Dodd's resignation.
Decatur groups schedule a Morgan County Fair planning meeting at the Coliseum at 6 tonight. Huntsville will host a Red Cross First Aid Instructor course on Sept 19 to 27 at 7 p.m. plus building permits issued for several local residences and businesses.

Hugh Comer 70 chairman of Avondale Mills died at home after a period of illness. His brother Donald Comer Sr. in critical condition after a stroke.
