A husky ex Marine was killed in Montgomery after an argument over Ku Klux Klan stickers on a restaurant door. The shooting occurred during a pre-dawn rendezvous with a Montgomery restaurant operator.
William Horton, 38, supervisor for a power company, is dead after a 12 gauge shotgun blast. James B. Peek Jr., 22, a restaurant operator, is jailed on murder charges. Horton’s brother Dalton Horton sought the warrant. Clues point to a staged meeting at a suburban shopping center after threats linked to Ku Klux Klan intimidation at theJimmy's Bar-B-Que restaurant.
