The Decatur Box and Basket Company will replace its finishing plant destroyed by a August 1 fire with a modern unit costing $50,000. Elton Reeves is contractor. The new 160 by 100 foot metal saw tooth building will have 15,000 square feet, an automatic sprinkler, and ball bearing motor driven machines. The firm ships largely to the eastern U S and Canada and employs about 300 people in total with two million feet of lumber on hand.
