Burglary Nearly Succeeds at M. P. Brothers Warehouse
Police nab three men Buford Reynolds Bennie Jackson and Melvin Pruitt after a Monday night burglary at M. P. Brothers warehouse on Sixth Avenue North. They removed twelve sacks of sugar but hid them in nearby weeds when their fourth confederate failed to appear. A passerby later alerted the company and officers arrested the trio Tuesday night as they attempted to move the loot.

BINGAINTON NY Sept 6 Twenty three persons were reported dead and more than 100 injured as rescuers pulled mangled bodies from the wreckage of a fast Chicago to New York Erie passenger train rammed by a freight train.
