Congressional investigators say documentary evidence shows Henry Kissinger was aware as early as 1972 of covert Korean lobbying and that Gen. Haig also knew. They doubt Nixon was informed. C C Harris survived Franklin 1864 after being wounded among 8000 on the battlefield. He settled in Decatur and became a leading lawyer, banker, and founder of the Decatur Land and Furnace Company. He served briefly in Congress, married Julia Wert, and raised several children.
