Girl Stabbed Above Heart in Decatur Neighborhood Killing
Ruth Madry a Negro girl died Sunday night after being stabbed above the heart by Helen Sis Horton. Horton is being sought as investigators say the incident occurred about nine o clock near Murphy's barbecue on West Vine Street. Madry lived at 1007 West Vine Street, Horton at 1101 West Vine Street. Assistant Chief Joe Weatherly and Patrolmen Collier Carter Moore led the investigation. The wounded girl was taken by private car to Sykes Funeral Home on arrival.
