Decatur Markets Report Strong Agricultural Prices
Decatur market notes list cotton middling at 20.45 per unit and cottonseed at 40 per ton. Milk prices show Grade A at 6.55 per hundred, manufactured milk 3.20, and four percent notes. Grain and feed prices include No 2 Soybeans 8.58, White Shelled Corn 2.85, No 2 Oats 0.90, Milling Wheat 2.80, and Yellow Shelled Corn 2.00. Wood and pulpwood quoted at 65.45 and 15.25 per unit respectively.

Two Madison Men Charged in Reported Assault Incident
Huntsville police arrested Robert Eugene Burrow and Tommy Leon Bonds both 28 and 22 of New Hope for a reported assault involving a 35 year old Decatur woman and her companion James Edward Weaver 59 of Lacey's Spring. Weaver was locked in the trunk of his car while the woman was forced into the vehicle and allegedly raped. Police said a passerby alerted authorities and the suspects were detained awaiting transfer to Madison County Jail.

New York stocks slipped at midday as traders cited a technical pullback after four advance sessions.
