Uganda martyrs to be canonized as Africa's first saints
Africa's first saints below the Sahara are poised for canonization in Rome later this year. Uganda martyrs, 22 Roman Catholic boys and 13 Protestant youths, died for the Christian faith between 1885 and 1887 in Uganda.
