The Southern Natural Gas Co. withdrew its application to serve North Alabama for now, saying it will not seek a certificate to serve cities like Decatur and Florence this year. Car Collides With Army Truck In City Intersection
Dillard Morgan of Hartselle 2 drove a 1936 Chevrolet that was heavily damaged in a collision with a two and a half ton Army truck driven by Herbert Harvin of Tanner 1 at Bank and Church Streets this morning at 6 45. Morgan stopped to let a car pass and began to cross when the crash occurred. Police Chief J B Whitmire reported no injuries. Officers Taylor and Investigated.
