Identity Sought For Dead Woman in Desoto State Park
Authorities from two counties investigated the decomposed body of a 40 to 50 year old woman found in Desoto State Park near Fort Payne. Police traced the missing Birmingham area case to Mrs Susan Buchanan who vanished April 24 after a grocery store incident. Her husband Sgt Walter Buchanan and son George were recalled from military duty as the five state alert was issued.
