Mrs Gilbert Laid To Rest In Limestone County
Final services were held for Mrs T H Gilbert at Elkmont Methodist Church with burial in Athens Cemetery. She died Monday morning at her Elkmont home after a year of ill health at age 71. In Brookwood, Alabama, 17 year old Curtis Turner was found shot through the right eye about one mile from home after a hog hunt. Coroner H. T. Hardin ruled the death accidental. a .32 caliber pistol bullet exited the back of his head. Searchers had spent the afternoon scouring the area after he did not return home on Monday.
