M W Dunlop a fertilizer plant night watchman was critically injured by a falling smokestack and is in serious condition at a Dothan hospital. The Wiregrass experiment station buildings were wrecked and several farm structures damaged or unroofed. The storm also toppled a roof from a residence of Kobe Steele and his mother who were unhurt. Rain accompanied the high winds worsening the damage and hardships.
