Trinity Church study course starts tonight at 6 30. Rally at Union Hill School on March 22 sponsored by PTA. Girl Scout leaders meet Thursday 9 30 a m at the Little House. Weekend arrests include five public drunkenness and one prohibition violation. City court busy with eight disorders, six vagancies, four gaming, four intoxicated on street, four Prohibition, two no license. Other cases include assault, double parking, two hit and run, parking in alley, driving while intoxicated, and stop sign violations. Eight tires stolen from Gulf Service Station at Highways 31 and 67 S. auto damaged on 8th St by unidentified vehicle. Permits issued for floor repair and reroof. In CAPSHAW Alabama two Limestone County stores were entered and a 1956 GMC pickup stolen. Entry began at North Alabama Implement Co with two iron tools used to try opening Clayton Worthy grocery. About 10 to 12 dollars in change and 12 to 15 cigarette cartons taken. Deputy D Brown investigates with no leads. a local youth missing overnight.
Sen. Lyndon Johnson testified for a sped up federal public works program, urging action over credit. He and 65 senators sponsor a resolution to record support for a four billion dollar package including dams, river improvements and public buildings. Eisenhower outlined steps to boost employment and release existing funds while extension of unemployment benefits is debated.
Sealed bids for a city water system expansion will be opened at the Municipal Utilities Building tomorrow at 2 p.m. The project includes rebuilding intakes, adding a four million gallon per day capacity, distribution upgrades, and two one million gallon tanks.
Funeral services were set for David W. Quattlebaum age 21 of Decatur and Bobby Jack House age 21 of Cullman after a Sunday morning crash near Bangor Blount County. Police reported the car left U S 31, bounced along a shoulder and skidded, sailing off the road and into the air before stopping.
Frances Fennell Neill 80 of 1623 Brookmeade Rd SE died today at Hartselle Hospital after two weeks. Survived by daughter Mrs Woolsey Finnell Jr of Tuscaloosa, son Albert Blackwell of Decatur, step daughter Mrs Louise Neill Carr of Memphis. Body at Brown Funeral Home until 10 am then in state at church one hour. Service at 11 am conducted by Rev. Wallace Lovett. Burial in city cemetery with pallbearers Rutledge Thomas, Thomas Bailey, Asbury Malone, Edward Davies, Norman Harris, Julian Harris.

Alabama saw its worst weekend for traffic deaths with at least 10 lives lost. Public Safety Director Bill Lyerly cited bad driving and rain on slick highways near Gadsden as contributing factors, with several crashes involving high speed. The fatalities included Donald H. Pugh 21, of Mobile, killed when a car veered off a county road and hit a pole, and two 21 year olds, Bobby House and David Quattlebaum, killed near Bangor on U S 31. A 63 year old man, James Carter Bentley, died three miles northeast of Birmingham in a two car collision. Charles Everett Barrett 24, of Birmingham, drowned when a fishing trip boat capsized on Lake Mitchell after hitting a log. See BAD on Page 2.

Secretary of State Dulles arrives in Manila for the SEATO foreign ministers meeting. He declines comment on Moscow's call for an Asian atomic free zone and a collective security system while discussions focus on linking SEATO with NATO and the Baghdad Pact and on expanding aid to Asian members.
