The 03 Men Poem by Dan Blankenship in Vietnam
Dan Blankenship a 1967 Priceville High School graduate serving with the Marines in Vietnam writes The 03 Men a long poem recounting a young soldier’s patrols and firefights, the heat and fear, and the homeward hope. It closes with a personal reflection in a church where an older man’s grief mirrors the poet’s own.
