Athens College Receives State Board Validation and Appeal Now
The State Board of Education accepts Athens College as Alabama's first Upper Division Institution of Higher Learning aimed at adult and community college graduates. A campaign seeks funds to liquidate debt by September 1, 1975, with non campus properties sold and about $350,000 needed from supporters to secure the college's future.
