Southeastern hens prices steady in Alabama market

In Birmingham Alabama the Southeastern hen market shows prices unchanged with steady demand and ample offerings. Estimated broiler slaughter today is about 2.5 million versus 1.722 million last weekend with light birds at farm 14 to 16 cents and FOB plants 16 to 18 cents. heavy birds at farm 15 to 16 cents and FOB plants 17 to 18 cents.
