Hay’s model would stay in Decatur after he leaves this summer. Friends of the Library will place a 12 foot Hay sculpture at Wheeler Basin Regional Library. TVA Costs Highlight Lower Regional Power Distributions
TVA reports basic operating costs for its 103 billion KWH of electricity totaled 939 million dollars, about 1.65 billion at the national average. Regional costs benefited from TVA scale and higher home usage, while national fuel costs surged in 1974 due to oil and coal price spikes. TVA notes coal purchases in 1975 were priced lower after the 1974 strike, partially offsetting earlier fuel cost rises.
