Textile view given by Bell
Wilmington Del June 25 P W Ray Bell president of the association of cotton textile merchants of New York said textiles face greater threats from non textile imports and low priced rivals than from intra industry competition after the war. He noted mills will have more fiber choices but imports of burlap woven cotton and paper and metal products could erode markets. Bell urged early release from war controls and a shift to market driven pricing based on fabric merits and fashion appeal.
