H O Edwards son of Prof H A Edwards recovered his Essex sedan stolen from his home. He deduced thieves would run low on gas and notified filling stations along the Bee Line Highway. Dawn found the suspects attempting to restart the car. they fled when a motorist passed. The vehicle was towed to Athens and returned to Mr. Edwards by Sheriff J E Clem Jr.

Washington June 25. The house Republican leadership backed President Hoover against congressional opposition to the World War veterans pension bill.
