Nixon Keeps Aides On Go For Global Travel
President Nixon uses high level diplomacy by sending aides on extensive foreign itineraries. Kissinger returns from Peking and Moscow. Rogers begins a 16 day nine nation swing. Burns plans talks in Argentina and other Latin American countries. Connally tours Asia. David leads a Moscow scientific initiative with Peterson to follow. Critics call it a campaign driven razzle dazzle to keep attention on foreign moves.

Diplomats Seeks Global Talks Drive Highlighted by VIP Visits
Administration supporters praise Kissinger, Rogers, Burns, Connally, and Burns for high level contacts. They call the jet trips valuable personal diplomacy with foreign leaders and see no single grand master plan linking all moves. The actions include Kissinger to Peking and Rogers routing through Belgrade Bucharest and Budapest with long foreign travel history. The Moscow follow ups by David and Peterson aim to extend U S Soviet developments.
