In a Belgian Congo belief, Baluba natives honor the dead by placing wooden horse images as graves. Bowls of food are set before the figures daily and vanish by night. The spirits of the departed are said to consume the offerings.

Butter Storage Question Settled by US Department
Washington reports a USDA finding that butter need not be stored in 64 pound blocks to keep well. Experiments show sweet-cream butter in 1 pound prints preserves as well and shrinks as little as larger formats, easing storage for farmers and dairymen.

Bamburg Family Reunion Draws 252 Attendees in Brent
In Brent Alabama on June 21 Mr and Mrs R A Bamburg hosted their annual family reunion. The aging couple married 64 years note 14 children 79 grandchildren 153 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren among descendants. Mr Bamburg a Confederate veteran is among Bibb county's oldest War Between the States survivors.
