Huntsville FHA 809 program criticized by local builders
Hal B. Ensor Jr of the Huntsville Home Builders Association asks the FHA to end the 809 program in favor of ordinary 203 loans. He argues the program harms workers at Redstone Arsenal and cites about 2,500 emergency loans approved for Huntsville residents and 135 applicants waiting months for loan commitments.
