TV Ho Cruise Sails From Paducah to Knoxville
The third annual TV Ho cruise began with about 40 lake and river craft leaving Paducah on TVA's 650 mile reservoir chain toward Knoxville. The flotilla will include the river packet Gordon C. Gregne and Cavalier IV. TVA leader James P. Pope praised the navigation investment, noting 14,000 recreation boats now use TVA lakes and $6 million saved on Tennessee river shipping since 1944.

Don Lee, 10, Falkville, lost part of his left arm after falling into a power mower while bicycling in a hayfield. Ronald Strickland, 14, near Decatur, may lose his left eye when a wire pulled from a mower struck him during lawn work. Both injuries occurred at home locations as parents rushed them to hospital.

William Howard Niles aged 29 of Eva will be laid to rest at Pine Burr church in Lawrence Cove with Rev. Horace Chambers officiating. Interment follows at the adjoining cemetery under Peck directing with survivor Nora Niles, a daughter Patricia Ann, four sons, and his mother Mrs. Lucile Niles. Niles drowned Monday in Flint Creek near Red Bank. coroner Joe Morrison says fainting spells may have caused the death. The body was recovered by diver Horace Moon from Hartselle. He is survived by siblings and other relatives listed in the notice.

Body Recovered in Drowning Tragedy Near Whitesburg Bridge
The body of Mrs. Leona Woodard George 28 of Morgan County was recovered late Monday afternoon about one and one half miles below where she disappeared in the Tennessee river. Coroner H C Laughlin Huntsville said a second body, Crickett Youngblood 28, is being sought. A boat with six people overturned near Whitesburg bridge Sunday afternoon. Funeral plans for George set for 4 p m today at Law Service chapel. Survived by husband W R Huntsville and two children. The search for Youngblood continues as authorities seek the fourth victim Raymond Cowan Chelsea youth who drowned Sunday. The tragedy occurred about three miles West of the bridge.
