Two Days Left to Qualify for City Commission Race
Prospective city commission candidates have two days to file with City Clerk Florence Adams. The field includes four contenders: B Hutchinson, Charles Guntharp, Hub Gardner, and Joe Collins, with a well known woman urged to join. Gardner ran last year, receiving 15 votes. Guntharp and Collins have prior defeats. The Aug. 15 election follows last year’s low turnout of 2,750 of 14,000 registered voters.
