FDR PICTURED IN PEACE ROLE
Prince Louis Ferdinand Hohenzollern asserts he served as Roosevelt's unofficial messenger in 1938 to spur a four leader meeting. He recounts Roosevelt’s concern over Nazism and a planned Azores summit with Hitler Mussolini and Chamberlain, while Goering’s agent probed the unauthorized diplomacy.

Goering Says Hitler Gave Japanese German Jet Plans
In debriefings Goering claimed Hitler provided Japan with German jet blueprints, later shipped by submarine to Japan. He warned the jet was converted to a bomber and said Allied air power secured the invasion. He faulted Hitler for air power ignorance and praised Allied superiority.

Anthracite Wage Increase Approved
Washington reports Economic Stabilizer William H. Davis approved the anthracite wage agreement granting an average 75 cent per ton price rise to offset pay boosts. The pact, once cleared by the War Labor Board, gives United Mine Workers a daily increase of 1.37 and 12 cents, with slightly smaller hikes for about 4,000 others. The new price schedule effective June 18 shows a $1 per ton rise for certain sizes and 25 to 12 yens per ton for industrial sizes.
