Evergreen Store Fire Damages Bank and Hardware
A downtown Evergreen Alabama fire damaged a hardware store heavily and spread to the Bank of Evergreen causing an estimated 250000 to 300000 dollars in damage. Firefighters from Evergreen Andalusia and Brewton fought the blaze for three hours, starting on the second floor and leaving the building charred. The bank and offices in the same building sustained smoke and water damage.
