Sixty six students across the School of Home Economics and Education at Alabama Polytech Institute earned Dean's Honor Roll honors for the spring quarter. Eleanor Chenault of 633 Sherman St and Betty Jo Johnson of Cullman were among those recognized for high scholastic averages. Local police report found a sack of clothes on Finley Drive and church activities note sermons by Rev. Minar L. Triplett at the First Methodist Church.

Four Polio Cases Reported In State
Four polio cases were added to the State Health Department records last week, including one non paralytic case and three paralytic cases. Jefferson County reported two cases, with Montgomery and Perry counties reporting the others. The weekly total dropped from nine the prior week and from eight in the same week last year. Through the year, 33 polio cases have been recorded, compared with 79 in the 1954 period.
