State of Alabama in Equity files bill in Morgan County Court alleging Nokomis Gillespie used a 1938 Ford Coupe, Motor 184320178, to transport prohibited liquor. Sheriff seized the automobile. court asks forfeiture to the state. Interested parties must file claims by July 5, 1949.
Letters of Administration granted June 9 1949 by Judge T C Almon Morgan County Probate Court. All persons with claims against the estate must present them within the period allowed by law or be barred. June 10 17 24. Today’s most widely used method of artificial respiration was devised in 1903.

The convention plans to return here next year with Juror England of Moulton as guest.
Former Alabama Representative Pete Jarman was sworn in at a State Department ceremony in Washington as the U S ambassador to Australia. Present were Speaker Rayburn and Senators Sparkman and Hill with Alabama’s Democratic delegation. The oath was administered by Stanley Woodward, chief State Department protocol officer.
