Funeral rites held for Mrs Lula Suggs in Talucah
Funeral rites for 57 year old Mrs Lula Suggs were conducted at Valhermosa at 11 this morning with Rev Fletch Turney officiating. Burial by Drinkard Howell followed. She died Thursday at her Talucah home after a brief illness. She is survived by four sons Henry Andrew Monroe and Edgar Suggs, two daughters Mrs Maggie Knight and Miss Leona Suggs, three brothers Andy Jim and Ben ny Grace, and two grandchildren.

Craft Struck During Storm Kills Eight Army Crew
Eight army corpsmen died when a B 18 bomber crashed on the Youle farm north of Delavan during a brief storm. Laura Youle said lightning struck the craft, causing it to explode and dive to muddy ground, with wings and fuselage torn.
