Dozier Alabama residents search swampland after a storm explosion. A parachute found in a tree bears the name Follmerclogh Lancaster Pa and date December 30 1935. Harold Bell notes blood on the chute and no sign of a occupants or wreckage.
Maxwell Field reported all army ships accounted for and no clue to the parachute owner found near Dozier. Montgomery Airport had no record of a missing plane. Dozier lies on the airline between Montgomery and Valparaiso Florida, near Eglin Field station.
Alvin Rix, 21, admitted to Sheriff J C Henkes that he shot and killed his mother and father after an argument over a $1,000 inheritance. He claimed he also wounded his 13-year-old brother and later surrendered at his father‑in‑law’s home.
