Four WWII trainer planes collide at National Air Races
CAPE MAY N J Four World War II style T6 Navy trainer planes crashed in two mid air collisions during the National Air Races killing all four pilots. The first collision occurred near the starting line about 3 p.m. and a second crash involved three aircraft in a wooded area near the airport. The dead were Richard Minges Victor Baker Edwin Snyder and Joseph Quinn. About 15 000 spectators watched as officials debated resuming the event on Sunday.
