Committees will meet at Morgan County National Bank to tally needs to the penny. Manager Cagle of the Masonic theatre plans to donate theatre receipts to the fund.

Teddy Gets Another South Dakota For Him

United Press reports in Sioux Falls that Roosevelt has captured the South Dakota delegation to the Chicago convention. Only a portion of the state has spoken, with Roosevelt leading by about 10 000 to 9 000 in estimated plurality. Taft and La Follette contend for second, while Champ Clark and Woodrow Wilson vie for Democratic delegates.

Riot in Newark Leaves Boy and Woman Shot During Strike Clashes

In Newark New Jersey on June thirteen a riot between 500 Lackawanna railway strikers and police reserves left a year old boy shot in the head and a woman shot twice. Seven others were injured as stones were thrown by women and the conflict escalated.

Prominent Auto Owners Fined by Mayor for Lights

Judge Thomas Wert and B L Malone were fined five dollars and costs by Mayor Patterson for driving without lights. Wert appealed claiming it was not dark when Officer Bell stopped him Sunday evening. Malone pleaded guilty and paid the fine without a murmur.

The New Decatur City Council met in executive session to discuss granting a thirty year electric and gas franchise to the Decatur Electric Light and Power Company. After lengthy discussion the session adjourned without action and officials will revisit the matter next Tuesday night.
