Double Slaying Near Andalusia Heads to Jury

In Covington County Alabama the double slaying investigation of W Mac Gantt and William David Freeman is slated for grand jury review. State toxicologist report is being studied as investigators await progress on the case. The victims disappeared May 16 and were found May 18 in a pine thicket. Freeman held a pistol believed to be the murder weapon. Both men were shot twice. Freeman was right handed.

Morgan County Pines Invite for June Singing

Everyone is invited especially singers to the Morgan County Pines second Sunday in June. There will be dinner and singing in the afternoon plus decoration. All good singers are urged to attend. Mr and Mrs C J Keys spent Sunday at Athens with relatives. Mr and Mrs Lickzy Ralph and Helen visited relatives here Sunday afternoon. Several from here attended graduation exercises at Cotaco last week. Rev and Mrs Stanley and family moved to Union Hill Saturday from Huntsville.
