Escapee Hunted In Limestone County
Athens Alabama authorities hunted escapee Tommy Pylant in a wooded area north of the city with more than 20 officers and tracking dogs after he fled from Draper Correctional Institute in Montgomery. Pylant, in his early 20s, had been serving a life sentence for robbery kidnapping and rape. He was spotted near Piney Chapel after abandoning a stolen car. Authorities urged Piney Chapel Hays Mill and Elkmont residents to stay indoors and lock cars. Pylant is considered dangerous.
