Decatur General Hospital welcomed three newborns to Ronald and Mrs Baraglia a 25 year old mother. The two boys weighed 3 13 and 3 3 ounces and the girl 4 3 pounds. Grandparents Charles McCrary and John Baraglia hovered at the hospital saying they feel elated. The parents said the babies peeked and mom saw them at 9 30 am. Names were not yet chosen as reporters note the family remains joyful despite fatigue.

A 37 year old Lawrence woman Ruby Cartee was jailed in Moulton on open charges after the Sunday afternoon rifle slaying of her brother in law Curtis Cartee 43. Her husband Hurst Cartee 45 was held as a material witness and released on bond. The shooting occurred at the Cartee home following an argument and fight between Curtis and Hurst. The woman said she shot in self defense as Curtis advanced toward her. Curtis Cartee died of a chest wound. See WOMAN on Page 2.
