Alabama Voters Weigh Succession Amendment In November
In Montgomery, voters face a proposed constitutional change on November 5 to allow governors and other state officers to serve two consecutive terms. The measure, linked to Governor Wallace and neighboring elections, would curb the current rotation among auditor, treasurer, and secretary of state. If approved, it would also affect lieutenant governor, attorney general, and other offices.
