Limestone County Board of Revenue fills two vacancies on the Athens Limestone Hospital general board. Convicts Submi Probes Started
Boston January 22 two investigations were under way to learn how four long term convicts at the state prison obtained weapons to hold five guards and six other inmates hostage during a four day siege. The stand ended peacefully yesterday when the rebels yielded to a seven man citizens committee, handed over their guns and allowed the hostages to go. The prison is returning to normal as state detectives and prison officers pursue inquiries. Three rioters met the committee at 1 a.m. Friday for a conference in the prison library.
