Four Trinity teens were injured Saturday night when their car lost control on a hill on Seneca Springs road. Mary D. Sivley 13 suffered a head injury and heavy blood loss after being thrown from the vehicle. Betty Jewel Sivley 15 had injuries to mouth neck and arms. Edith Fagan 15 had a knee cut and neck and jaw bruises. Barbara Sivley 15 rode in back seat. driver and Mary D. Sivley received emergency treatment at Decatur General hospital.

One Mishap Death Reported In Alabama
The Associated Press notes only one accidental death in Alabama Saturday during the early weekend. The Highway Patrol reported no traffic fatalities between 6 p.m. Friday and late Saturday. Eddie Honor, 48, of Mobile died in a house fire apparently started by an oil stove.

Ardmore Tenn Shooting Scene Details Arising
Ardmore Tennessee witnessed a fatal shooting Saturday when Porter Smith of Birmingham died at 6 20 PM in Athens Limestone hospital after being shot above the left eye with a .38 revolver. Lawrence Steadman operator of the Giles County tavern at Ardmore was involved. Sheriff Jack Redding said Steadman drove to Pulaski and surrendered. Steadman faced assault with intent to murder, bond set at 2500 dollars, later amended to murder. Witnesses described a confrontation at a fruit stand beside Steadman’s tavern amid brewing hard feelings since Thanksgiving. Witnesses Ed Garrison and Harry Barnes reported the men exchanged words and moved to within a few feet of the highway. See ARDMORE on Page 2.
