Lawrence 22 Day Safe Record Broken By Weekend Wrecks
Lawrence County weekend crashes end a 22 day accident free streak. A 25 year old Chicago man, W C Adams, was charged with reckless driving and driving without a license after rear ending a parked truck on Alabama Highway 24. Damages were pegged at 225 dollars. A second crash near Five Points involved Henry W Jenkins of Decatur and Willis J Green of Hillsboro, with 400 dollars in damage and Jenkins later charged for failing to stop at a through highway. Patrolmen Roy Thomas and Wilburn Craft investigated both wrecks.
