Two white men James D. York and Henry Alexander were freed on bond after being indicted for the January 10 dynamiting of the home of Rev. Ralph D. Abernathy in Montgomery Alabama. Detectives said York appeared in a photo in Klan robes and hoods during a rally period. The defendants face possible death penalty under state law for dynamiting an inhabited dwelling. Trial set for May 27 or later.

A Montgomery house wife and mother of two died in a hospital after an eight month fight to overcome injuries from a gas stove blast last July. Mrs. Raymond H. Sisson, 33, had suffered extensive burns and remained in critical condition during her 200 days of treatment, with family noting her cheerfulness throughout the ordeal.
Sweden charged the Soviet government with lying about the death of Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg in a Moscow prison. Stockholm said Moscow bears responsibility for the high handed acts of its secret police and rejected Soviet blame on a state security official executed in December.
L and N veteran L J Smith, longtime Decatur figure, will retire after 51 years with the railroad. His duties covered Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi from headquarters in Birmingham, and for nearly two decades he aided industry siting along the L and N lines with chambers of commerce, planning groups and state and local bodies.
